FIELD RENOVATIONS
The PitCCh In Foundation has renovated multiple baseball fields and continues to provide ongoing maintenance. CC and Amber are passionate about sharing the love of baseball with a new generation of boys and girls. That’s why we’re planning to renovate even more fields in the future.
All-Star Baseball Clinics
The PitCCh In Foundation launched the All-Star Baseball Clinic to introduce the game to a new generation of young girls and boys from ages 5 to 12. These clinics are held year-round and across the country. This premier instructional experience features current and former MLB players, local coaches, and inspiring guest speakers.
The Nathan Berhel Scholarship
In 2011, the PitCCh In Foundation created the Nathan Berhel Scholarship at Vallejo High School to honor the memory of Nathan Berhel, CC’s cousin and childhood friend, who passed away in June 2004. The PitCCh In Foundation is proud to carry on Nathan’s legacy of excellence by supporting the next generation of Vallejo student-athletes on their path to college.
BACKPACK Giveaways
THE PITCCH IN FOUNDATION ESTABLISHED THE YOUTH BACKPACK PROGRAM TO HELP ALLEVIATE THE FAMILIES’ FINANCIAL BURDEN OF GETTING SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND HELPS KIDS START THE YEAR ON THE RIGHT NOTE. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES BACKPACKS AND SUPPLIES TO KIDS IN COMMUNITIES MOST IN NEED THROUGHOUT VALLEJO, CA, AND BRONX, NY.
Mentorship Program
PitCCh In Foundation enriches the lives of youth through educational and athletic activities. We believe every young person deserves the chance to play in safe spaces, access the tools to learn, and receive the support to truly thrive.
This initiative aims to expand the impact PitCCh In has on youth in the Bronx, NY, and Vallejo, CA, by offering a more holistic approach to their academic, emotional, and physical growth. By adding a mentoring component, we’ll strengthen our programs, deepen our impact, and increase the number of caring adults actively involved in young people’s lives.
Holiday Caravan
Each year, New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia and his wife Amber host a festive holiday party for low-income youth from the John E. Grimm III Clubhouse at Madison Square Boys & Girls Club.
This event is part of the PitCCh In Foundation Holiday Caravan Program, spreading cheer and essential items to kids ages 5 to 18. Our mission is to enrich inner city youth by boosting their self-esteem through educational and athletic activities across Northern California and the New York Tri-state area.
Amber and CC create a special night filled with food, games, and fun. We set up a “pop-up store” where the kids can shop for clothes, hats, backpacks, and more. We aim to provide essentials to every child at the John E. Grimm III Clubhouse. Amber and CC hope this keeps them motivated and inspired to be their best!
